A shoe mishap

School shopping brought a new excitement into little Kami's room. Let me set up the scene for you. I am in the living room playing the piano for a few minutes and then realize it's really quiet. I go to check on Kami and this is what I see.

She's trying to wipe off glue from a glue stick off her foot.

I then look and see that her shoe straps are cut off. Yes, that's right. Her brand new shoes for school that have never been worn, with a makeover- Kambri style, which entails cutting the straps into several pieces and then using a glue stick to glue the inside of her shoe.

So our conversation went something like this:
Me: Kambri, why in the world did you cut your brand new school shoes?
Kambri: I didn't like the straps.
Me: And why is there glue on your foot?
Kambri: I glued inside the shoe so that my foot would stay in.
Me: If you would've left the straps on there wouldn't be a problem KEEPING your foot in.

Grandma Leslie took the shoes home to do surgery on them and she did a pretty darn good job. If only the little stinker would wear them now. Nope! Not once...
