Maybe

I had to document this before I forgot it. My kids constantly say things and I put it in the reserve part of my memory (aka worthless part...haha) so I can be certain to remember it for years to come.

We put up our Christmas decorations on Saturday and this conversation took place Sunday evening. Due to technical difficulties (broken tree stand for the SECOND time) we put off doing ornaments the night before.

So here's how the conversation went:

Kambri: Can we put the ornaments on the tree tonight?
Me: Maybe.
Hollie: Most days maybe means no.
Kambri: Mom, today can it mean yes?

Oh my gosh! I laughed so hard. Needless to say, we ended up doing ornaments and I learned a valuable lesson. Perhaps I could try having 'maybe' mean 'yes' more than 'no'.
