Alpine MS E-Lemon-ators

At work we decided to team up and participate in the MS Walk.
Our team was called the 'Alpine MS E-Lemon-ators'. Pretty ingenious, right?!

I walked for 2 ladies I work with, Tracy & Jeannette, who have MS as well as my 'Aunt' Diana.

This particular disease is something that hit close to home when my mom was going through a lot of health problems a few years ago and they were thinking it was MS.

Our group! We came close to being one of the teams with the most participants.

Me, my mom, Jill from work & her daughter Madeline.

I was proud to participate in such a great cause!
Tracy, Jeannette & Diana- I love you all!

Fun at Aunt Sissy's

Kambri loves spending time with Haddie and her Aunt Sissy!!

She loves riding bikes, and Haddie is so kind to share with her when we play at their house.
However, I realized after looking at these pictures that she is starting to look too big for the bike. Sometimes it takes pictures to point out the obvious things to me...

Thanks for playing Haddie! I love spending time with you!

Happy 8th B-Day Hollie

I can hardly believe my lil' Princess is already 8! Hollie is such a joy in our family, we love her so much!

What a beautiful girl she is!!

She decided on a self-portrait for her b-day!

We relighted the candles several times so the smaller girls could have 'their' turn!!

A rather quick cake...but I think it still turned out cute!

Hollie got a lot of fun presents. She loves clothes and got several in that direction. Grandpa LaMont took her shopping to pick out what she wanted. They headed to the Newgate Mall because she has been talking about 'Pillow Pets' for months now. So she got one of those and was extremely excited...in addition to some other things he got talked into.

From Shaun's family she got a card with a certificate to go shopping on them! She ended up buying an i-Dog, clothes, 2 cute bags (did I mention she is definitely my bag/purse girl?)...

Her own new outdoor chair amongst the many other things...
I'm quite sure she could be considered spoiled! But we all love her so!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
8 things I love about Hollie, in no particular order...

#1- Your wittyness. You says things that leave us all laughing, without even trying.

#2- Your imagination & creativity. We never know what you're going to come up and what things you will use in the process.

#3- Your love for music. You have a beautiful voice and have the potential to do great things with it. It's something that comes natural for you and I love when you sit with me at the piano and sing, and that you've developed an interest in learning to play the piano. I love to listen to you sing and to see the passion you have for it.

#4- Your stubborness/tenancity/determination. This is one of those things that can be a struggle between you and others (most especially you & me because we are so much alike). I believe this will prove to be a great strength for you in later years.

#5- Your ability to share & do kind things for others. You frequently make pictures or other things for others and you're very quick to share with others.

#6- Your beautiful smile & dimples. Be proud of them!!

#7- Your love for Heavenly Father & Jesus. I love that it is a 'fight' between you and Kambri for who gets to say the prayer, those are actually proud moments for me. I am so proud of you and to see the way the Gospel is affecting you in your life.

#8- You are so loving! I especially love our moments of snuggling together or spending time just the two of us and having 'grown-up' conversations.

I love the girl you are, and the young lil' lady you're growing into. I hope we will always be close! You are such a vital part of our family! Thank you for choosing your dad & I to be your parents!!

The Drive-In

After Hollie's baptism and luncheon...(and a good lil' nap) we all decided to venture out to the drive-in to see Toy Story 3. Best as I can tell and recall...it was a decent movie! :)

Grandma thought it was going to be sooo fun to have all the grandkids with her in the back of their truck. I'm not sure she thought that by the end...

Is it time yet for this thing to start?! We're starting to get a bit restless.

We're a bit on the nerdy side...but we're happy nerds!

There were a few incidents with children not behaving, or fighting, or griping because they can't hear, or someones in their viewing window...but it was something we've never done with the kids and all in all, I think it was fun!!

Hollie's Special Day

Our sweet Hollie was baptized on July 3rd. It was a very special day for us as a family. Not only was she baptized, but Shaun got to baptize her. It was incredible and I'm sure a moment none of us will forget any time soon. He did such a great job.

She got a little nervous just before and I just kept reassuring her that she looked beautiful and we were all there because we love her so much!!
There was one other ward with one girl there that combined with us. The talks given were great and the Spirit was very evident to me. Such a neat feeling!!

Afterward in the dressing room she told me that once she got in the water she no longer felt nervous. :)

She's absolutely beautiful & I'm so proud of her!

Grandma Leslie made her baptism dress; absolutely beautiful as well. Grandma has now made her blessing & baptism dress. We've joked (sort of serious though too) that she'll need to make her wedding dress to finish out the tradition of the 3 white dresses!! :)

Shaun, Hollie & Uncle Randy who confirmed her. Then after the confirmation Bishop Sanderson talked for a few minutes and then put me on the spot to share my feelings and testimony with Hollie. Can we say, "Oh my gosh!?" and it's not as if that was one of the moments where I could've even said, "I'd rather not". :) It was extremely nerve-racking as I just don't do those things in front of people, but I'm grateful (in hindsight) that I was able to share my testimony with my family as that isn't something we do near often enough.

All of my family except Chris. We were so grateful for those who came to share her special day.
All of Shaun's family was also there except for his dad. Unfortunately, they left the church before we took any pictures.

Hollie, cousin Maddie, Kambri & cousin Haddie. Such cute little girls!

After we took a few pictures we changed clothes and headed to the park for a luncheon with the family. It was a fun time with good food and great company!
